Mary's Wardolf Salad

You'll love this salad for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Add shredded cooked chicken for a sweet, tangy Chicken Salad.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup organic red seedless grapes. (may substitute organic raisins or cranberries)
  • 1 organic green or gala apple, cored and chopped
  • 3 Tbsp homemade mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lettuce or Bibb lettuce for wrap
  • Homemade mayonnaise
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup walnut, macadamia nut or olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon or apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

    To Make Salad:
  1. Combine homemade mayonnaise, lemon juice, sea salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Add apple, celery, grapes, and walnuts and stir to coat.
  3. Serve on a bed of fresh lettuce or make a wrap using Bibb lettuce.
  4. To Make Mayonnaise:
  5. Combine all ingredients in wide mouth jar being careful to keep ingredients separated.
  6. Place stick blender at bottom of jar and blend until mayonnaise is firm and oil is well blended.

Flax Seed Nutola

I love Flax Seed Nutola for a gluten free mid day snack or healthy breakfast.  After dehydrating I either break  them into larger bar size pieces or crumble to make a yummy granola with coconut almond milk.  It’s always a treat to top with fresh organic fruit, dried berries and walnuts.  Here’s the recipe to enjoy:

 

Flax Seed Nutola, Sanoviv Recipe Bookphoto (13)

Ingredients:
(6 servings/3 cups)
1 cup whole organic flax seeds
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
6 each Brazil nuts
¼ teaspoon unrefined sea salt
½ tablespoon cinnamon
½ cup dates (8‐10)
1‐2 cups of water
¼ teaspoon Xylitol (optional)
Preparation:
1. Soak the nuts and seeds in clean water and leave them overnight in a
lightly covered glass bowl. The next day, drain them using a colander
and rinse them well.
2. Put half of the nuts and seeds into a food processor and blend until
ground.
3. Crush remaining nuts and seeds and put everything into a large bowl.
4. Mix the sea salt and cinnamon together and add to the mixture.
5. Put dates in a blender with 1‐2 cups of water and xylitol and blend.
This will have the consistency of syrup. Note: Using 2 cups of water
will create less sweetness overall.
6. Coat the entire nuts and seeds mixture with the date syrup, using
your hands to coat the entire mix. This is what distributes the flavor
evenly. Be sure to press handfuls of the mixture (one handful at a
time). This will extract any extra oil from the nuts.
7. Spread the mixture onto dehydrator sheets and dry at 120 degrees
for 24‐48 hours depending on the “crunchiness” you want (longer
times will make it more crunchy and dry).
8. Store in a glass jar or bowl with a tight lid.

Sanioviv…A Sanctuary for Health and Healing

I recently returned from an amazing health and wellness retreat at Sanoviv.  I was truly blessed to spend 5 days in a beautiful toxin free facility, enjoying organic meals and relaxing in an environment that truly aids in building health from a cellular level.   Each morning my eyes woke to an incredible ocean front view. Why I will never do another Mammogram again!

Here’s a simple solution to cleaning up toxic foods, when organic isn’t available


To help minimize toxic consumption and overload in the foods you eat, it is best to pur
chase organic produce as much as possible. Sometimes, however, it is not easily accessible. If you live in an area (like me) that organic food is not readily available, here’s a simple solution that you can do. Wash your fruits, vegetables, eggs and meats in a “Clorox Bath”. It is important to use Clorox only. Other brands will not work!!!  Clorox is NOT the same as chlorine (chemical disinfectant added in drinking water). Actually, the active ingredient in Clorox is sodium hypochlorite. This ingredient breaks down into salt and water. It is also important to note that I am talking about the “original” Clorox.

The 4 Things you Must Know, but Your Oncologist Won’t Tell You

Last week one of my classmates was diagnosed with breast cancer and is starting her first round of chemotherapy.  My prayers go out to her and her family that her body will be able to tolerate the treatments and she will survive.  Though I always respect someone’s decision for their own treatment plan, I also feel the urgency to enlighten you on information you may not know.  Information that your oncologist will not share with you and most likely doesn’t know.  If you are going to choose a treatment plan as toxic as chemotherapy, you should be completely informed on the massive side effects, lack of effectiveness and permanent damage it will cause to your body. Wouldn’t you want to know all of these details before signing up?  Wouldn’t you also want to know about alternative treatments plans that are more effective, less/nontoxic, and have a higher success rate with virtually no side effects?  YES, of course you would!  That is why I am writing this post.  You need to be informed of all of your options before selecting the one for you.  I wish I would have known this information when I was diagnosed.

9Thank you for visiting my website and allowing me to share my story and journey to healing.  My hope is to expand your mind and inspire you to live happy, healthy, whole and inspired lives!  As most of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Dec. 2008 and choose to treat my cancer using natural, non-toxic methods.  I have learned so much since then and I am so grateful for the opportunity to share all I’ve learned.  I hope it will encourage you to “think outside the box” in your own life and look within to uncover your own healing journey.

There is no “magic bullet” or “one size fit all protocol” in the healing process.  Everybody is different.  Different types of cancer, different genetics, different soul purpose, different life circumstances, etc.  So it would make sense that everyone has their own perfect formula to heal.  Notice I said, “everyone HAS their own perfect formula to heal”.  The key is connecting to your own intuition (inner guidance) and discovering the healing path that is already within you.  You already have all the guidance you need to heal.  Every cancer thriver (including myself) that I have talked to or read about was able to connect to and fully trust their inner guidance then follow the path to healing through active co-participation.   Many years ago I was given a formula to simplify the integrated healing process.  This integrated process addresses all aspects of “self” including body, mind, spirit and soul.  The formula can be used with every individual, every disease (because the root cause of all chronic disease is the same) and every life struggle or pain.   Though the steps to healing will vary for every person, the formula stays the same.
